Bruce Lee Movie Review
The movie started rather interestingly and then gradually faded towards second half due to toomuch predictability. Srinu Vaitla tried his best, but not yet in full form of Rea(Dhee) level in terms of entertainment.
Ram Charan showed lot of maturity in acting compared to previous films. In fact, his dance movements and fight sequences made the film a bit interesting. Rakul Preet did full justice to her glamour doll tag, but needs to refine her acting skills a bit. On-screen chemistry was good between the lead pair.
Kriti Kharbanda as hero’s sister and Rao Ramesh as father did justice to their roles. But the story was as old as Chiranjeevi. Hero’s sacrifices to help his sister become a district collector – oh my God…it did feel like I was watching a movie of NTR / ANR in my childhood days.
Much awaited re-entry of Megastar Chiranjeevi was not bad in a guest role specially designed to entertain the fans. But the climax was dragged toomuch to forcibly insert his entry.
Most songs were quite catchy and picturized very colorfully. Without the songs, this film would have been very uninteresting.
The attempted comedy was good in bits and pieces, but overall lacked the punch of Srinu Vaitla.
I did not feel too great watching the movie. But then I must agree I did not feel bored either. I feel its good for one-time watch especially for those who like Srinu Vaitla style of film making. Just do not expect toomuch from the movie and you will not be disappointed.
Overall: Colorful songs, outdated story, decent first half and cliched second half.
